Berlinsche Gallaery
Another hectic day today, after the normal routine of nipping out for good coffee at 8am then back to the hotel fro breakfast we all headed down to the Berlinsche Gallery. I was slightly disappointed that all the Naum Gabo pieces, which were what I really wanted to see, were in storage as the ground floor was being renovated. Loads of good stuff upstairs though including some work by Tacita Dean and this El Lissitzky room.
After that we stopped for some lunch then headed up to the Pergamon Museum which I hadn’t been to before but was fantastic. The students were pretty impressed with the Pergamon altar. They’re all pretty exhausted now though after our hectic few days so it’s good they have the weekend to explore other areas of Berlin at their own pace.
Well, after Dinos Chapman at the Haus Der Kulturen Der Welt tonight anyway.
