#30 Collage

DDW January Challenge #30 Collage

Here's a collage on my son Braden, with photos of him smiling at me at 7 days old (lower left) to lounging with his dog Kobi at 20 years (upper left). He and his friend Jim were lost at sea kayaking March 11, 2001. There are two pictures of Wildcat Cove, which is where they launched their kayaks that day. In one are yellow roses; Mary Jo, Jim's mom (fantastic blipper and close friend) and I each throw one out on birthdays and anniversaries. Every March 10th in the middle of the night for the past 12 years, we have painted The Rock in honor of them, which is huge and sits on the side of the freeway as you enter Bellingham. It is always vividly decorated in honor of someone. Included is a photo of our latest endeavor. :) We love doing this, as long as we don't get caught by the police, which has actually happened a couple of times! There's also a bit of his drawing in there, and he and I are bottom center when he was about 10, camping east of the mountains.
