Ostrich Jam

About half a mile from here is the Cape of Good Hope. The Atlantic Ocean is about 50 metres to the left of the Ostrich.

The most likely seen wildlife on the way to the Cape are baboons. Earlier we had come across a Baboon Jam as drivers clicked their cameras. There are lots of signs telling drivers not to feed them or open their windows as they could get another passenger!

However this jam was because of 4 wild Ostriches. This one seemed fascinated by the view in the car, the owners of which were not feeding it, but the ostrich remained like this for several minutes before moving off. The others carried on grazing.

We've been to this area on two other occasions but I never tire of it. Especially today as the sunshine was ameliorated by a sharp breeze. A really good lunch at the Two Oceans restaurant at Cape Point followed by a steep walk to the old lighthouse there got the old blood cells working.
