Moss and Mud

Conservation volunteering again. Still clearing out undergrowth (different pond to last time). Worked in drizzle which is perfect for all this moss and the muddy ground. Lot of the branches we cleared were rotten and we made a huge woodpile for all the little critters to enjoy.
Even with two pairs of gloves my hands were very cold, but cups of steaming coffee in our break revived them.
Off to visit my sister in York tomorrow for a few days so there will be a break in service from me, but may back blip on my return.
