Like a ship in sail.
A much drier morning for our Thursday St Ives circuit but it was still grey and dark.
The highlight was seeing the Greylag goose again on Coppice Pond. I first saw him at the top of the pond looking like a ship in sail as he is so much bigger than the ducks and here ( in the centre - see large ) flanked by two Canada Geese which seem to sit lower in the water.
He swam all the way down from where he was first spotted with a great waddle, having huge webbed feet. As he was moving a lot none of the images are very good but he had a go at the dogs who were showing a bit too much close interest and got a good share of the duck food.
