Still a White Girl

As much as my national friends tell me I've become 100% African, and as much as I'd love to claim it, I'm still a white girl. And my skin is quick to remind me of it.

The sun still burns me and the powdered laundry detergent still eats away at my "soft skin".

How thankful I was to see liquid laundry detergent come up from Kampala -- and it smells good too!

This white girl and her "soft skin" are grateful.
