"Postcard From The Past" ...

...Well, it's not actually a postcard, but a photo taken by John of myself on the left in red and our little daughter (4) and my lovely Boss on the sheep and cattle station where 15 years previously, I worked as governess for her children.. We're still in touch, 35 years later..

...And as promised, here is one of the old photos taken - amongst the Desert Sturt Peas, with the saltbush in the background there..(the hairstyles were great then weren't they - our son called me "Slumberland Springs" at the time, but we were all happy to have the Cleo Lane hairdos then weren't we!! ).. The other photo I have is of my Mum sitting amongst them, so lovely she looked, one of my favorites, but I thought I'd best put one here of Estelle for today..

...It's not a picture of great clarity, but gives you an idea of how these plants can grow so beautifully in the arid regions of the Australian outback..and as well, as a pot plant, now, or in the garden, but selective gardens ofcourse..and you can also get an idea of how the paddocks can look just covered in these very color dominanting plants of the outback..

...And thankyou to all who liked my Sturt's Desert Peas blip from yesterday so much they plummeted right into the Spotlight once again..always an honour..and you are all very special..
