This goose stood perfectly still for my photo
Aaaack! - you know it's been a long day when you come home & start frantically looking around the house for something to blip.
Some of you may remember that I mentioned my brother is a 5th generation decoy carver. Apparently, the family emigrated from Yorkshire to America in the 1600's (we were the poor ones on the boat, I'm sure!) and once here, many of my ancestors became hunting guides and decoy carvers. A fine tradition and I am proud that my brother is continuing the work.
This is a Canada Goose that he carved about 20 years ago. Now guarding my dining room hutch.
Praying for better weather for all of you. We just had another snowstorm last night - four more inches.
The weekend is just around the corner… and so is springtime.
