Homeward Bound

Our last day in Stratford Upon Avon began with a walk along the river up to the main street for breakfast. Roz was with us but she had her breakfast at the hotel so she sat and did her blip from Saturday with a nice cup of tea while we got tucked into out breakfast.

We then went round the shops getting some gifts to take home. Duncan wanted to go to the MAD museum which is a wonderful and exciting collection of machines incorporating gears, chains, pulleys and whirligig paraphernalia. The exhibits fall into three areas that are Kinetic Art = art in motion and Automata = interesting mechanical contraptions. This is superbly engaging for all ages, the museum offers an extravaganza of visual entertainment with lots of rolling balls and plenty of clanking and rattling thrown in for good measure! I am so glad we went into see it as it was so interesting and well worth a visit.

The blip today is off one of the exhibits, it was a mirror with lights leading into it and a perfect blip opportunity. I was very pleased with the result.

We went back to the hotel for coffee, oh and I had a guinness then we said our goodbyes to Roz before heading off to the airport. Homeward bound but leaving with so many happy memories.
