House Bound
Woke up this morning at 4am as the pain from my hernia op was giving me real jip. Took one of my painkillers and managed to sleep till eight. When I woke up again I forgot about my stitches and got up which made me shout out in pain. Not nice.
I had to remove the old dressing today and was able to have a shower, I then put another clean dressing on. Have not been in so much pain today and keeping on top of it with regular doses of my pills.
I have sat about the house all day again in my jim jams and Cheryl has been looking after me very well. Bacon roll with tea this morning, some light lunch and getting to watch what I want on the telly. She is getting a bit fed up of me calling her nursie all the time (no sense of humour some people).
So, what to blip. I went to the front door and back door taking some mono shots and eventually I went for the shot from my front door as it sums up my predicament, a view of the houses in my snowy street for this poor wee man who for the moment is very housebound.
I know last nights blip was of whisky, shortie and Burns but couldn't even toast the bard with a dram as drink is not allowed with strong painkillers. BOO HOO.
