Ruffles

Found (online) a great technique to make gathers on the sewing machine. I used it to make the ruffles for the petticoat for Betsy's Grease costume. It has 8 metres of ruffles!

I was feeling pretty smug about the amazing job I'd made on the dress until she tried it in and it was too small. My measurements must have been way off.

I had to take the zip out, the skirt off, and take the bodice apart. Tomorrow I will have to add two panels into the bodice and put it all together again.

Oh, and the petticoat was too long. Not so smug now.
