The briny briny sea

At last - we get to fly. Weather still pretty bad, and it's heading up for more gales, but we're really backlogged and we're taking every safe opportunity we can to fly.

This is the view off the deck of a rig... You rotate off the deck, and all you can see is sea... unless it's night, when all you can see are glimpses of the white tops.

It's the most exposed part of offshore flying - the takeoff from the platform.

We got back in the dark, in the rain and in about 40-50 knots of wind. Another lively day in Shetland!
