Christmas Envelope #1

One of Mrs BH's Christmas presents was a set of twelve sealed and unmarked envelopes. She gets to open one at random on the first of each month and we get to do the thing written inside. This month it was a meal out, so (with the month rapidly coming to an end) we went for dinner to a local pub that had recently re-opened after changing hands and refurbishing.

We had a lovely evening - had a table right by the fire, great service, delicious food, and fabulous company. This was the apple and celeriac soup - very tasty indeed, and nicely quirky presentation.

We'll definitely be going back. And if anyone else is in Newnham Bridge, you should go to the Talbot. You won't be disappointed.
