A Kind of Magic
There is one whose name is murmured in hushed and reverential tones chez LooseCanon/ Technophobe. John Gravett. He can take a picture of an ordinary clump of trees and with some sort of photographic alchemy transform them into a stunning image worthy of ' Hanging on your wall '
He can teach others to do this as well if you have a mind and several grands' worth of kit.
Anyway he and his lovely wife Gail were popping over to Keswick this morning and were due to call in on us. This necessitated the hasty stowing away of what I thought were perfectly good and beautiful images taken by LooseCanon during the pre-Gravett era and replacing them with ones which would earn the Maestro's seal of approval.
He has learnt such tricks as kneeling perhaps two inches lower or to the left and your every day photo will be elevated to another level by things I wouldn't even have thought of.
Surprising as it may seem I have not benefitted from this instruction so here is my bog standard iPhone snap of Loweswater this afternoon.
