Happy kids - Matimba

This little gang live next door to the guest house we're staying in and seem to stand in wait until they see us - and immediately break out into a chorus of good day how are you? I suspect this is the only phrase they know in English.....

Kids and young people are always happy to have their photo taken but older Rwandans very definitely don't want to be photographed. I usually ask if it's ok to get out my camera - and almost always receive a very firm no. I understand their dislike, it stems from the genocide in 1994. So many beautiful blips that can never be taken.... but they are all there in my head!
