And Breathe...
I made it home...
The 3.5 hour drive from my parents took extra long today. It started out sunny and clear, but about an hour into the drive, the white-out snow developed and visibility was less than1- 2 car lengths ahead. I was so tense and had a death grip on the steering wheel for the whole trip. After I had two thirds of the trip under my belt, the roads turned to ice... I've never been so glad to be out of the car... Fortunately, I grabbed a few shots of the well fed squirrels in my parent's yard before leaving this morning. He's even chubbier in large. ;)
-2 (F) degrees now with a windchill of -25 degrees and they are predicting windchills of -35 tonight. Schools all over the state are closed for tomorrow due to extreme cold. Heck, we even heard from our daughter, that the Univeristy of Michigan (in Ann Arbor, MI) will be closed tomorrow - first time since 1978! I think I'll stay home and off the roads tomorrow.
