Gladstone bag from the 1880s
An essential piece of travelling luggage from the late 1800s. Heavy leather and brass fittings to keep your essential travelling garb safe and dry. Quite a bulky thing to carry - but ideal to leave to the porters. This one has been round the world at least once. We can say that it has probably been to India but most definitely to Charing Cross!
