Sour
There was nothing sour about today,
I was taken to the Ritz for tea, a birthday present from Big Son, Chris and his wife, Emma who accompanied me.
We had the most delicious sandwiches, cakes and scones washed down with champagne and of course tea. In the middle of our feast I was presented with this birthday cake while the pianist played Happy Birthday.
After we’d finished eating we waddled walked around looking in the windows of some of the very expensive shops around the Ritz and had a meander inside Fortnum and Mason. It was a pleasant and sunny afternoon so we walked across Green Park to see if the Queen was home. She was but we had to refuse her offer of tea because we’d already eaten. We said we’d take her up on her offer another day.
I had a wonderful day. Can you hear the kookaburra calling?
