Ripples and Reeds

Down to the inlet to enjoy our coffee. The tide was racing in and the mud flats were almost covered when we arrived so did not expect a lot of bird action but within a few minutes there were gulls of two varieties, the tern family fishing around the edges of the inlet and then a royal spoonbill sailed in for a brief sift of the just covered mudflats before taking off for better food sources.

I did get a few images of the royal bird but not good enough to share so this will have to suffice...!
