Sunshine after the rain

All of a sudden the storm cleared and the sun came out - took us all by surprise! I thought about going out for a walk, but could see more cloud coming over quite quickly. As it turned out, there was no further rain, but I needed to ring Dad anyway so did that instead.

I spent a couple of hours watching the Nadal/Wawrinka match - so sad that Nadal hurt his back and couldn't play to his full potential. I do suspect that Wawrinka might have won anyway because he was playing out of his skin for the first set and a half (before Nadal got injured). He's now the Swiss number one instead of Federer and is no.3 in the world. I guess this means that Murray has moved down to no.5 but don't know for sure....

Had a yummy roast gammon lunch with parsley sauce today - the meat was so tender, it was delicious. We can have an easy lunch tomorrow eating up the remainder with some salad and boiled potatoes.
