Another tree day

Most state school children in Edinburgh will possibly remember trips to Ben More for outdoor courses, I certainly do and the 2 Eco kids loved it. So today we went to the Botanic gardens at Benmore to see the gardens and trees and the kids took Eco mum round to the big house to show her round.

Again very impressive trees, an avenue of redwoods(48 of them) reallt catches the eye, they are only 150 years old seemingly can live for upto 3000 years.

The monkey puzzle trees were everywhere, I love them.

With all the rare and exotic trees it was the decidous trees that stole the show as the autumn colours exploded into life.
