Shin

Juno was restless and just as well, at 4.30 I let her out to be met with a superb starry sky, I just stood in the freezing air looking aghast at the wonders.

It had snowed during the night, the are was encased in ice and the doors would not open.
I took Juno out round the farm, the distant hills north were lightly covered in snow, the rising sun bringing them to life.

It was a cold wind, the boys wanted another fishing session so back to Balintore in daylight, it seemed a reasonable place. I found the reel part I had lost the night before and fixed the tackle up.

A blank day, the sleet came through and wind picked up, home for lunch.

We took the boys and eco girls to Falls of Shin, no salmon leaping, probably like me in a hot bath. Why on earth would I come out into the cold. A snow storm came through so the youngsters fled for cake and drinks. I took Juno for a forest walk in the sleety winds. Well a felled area exposed to all the elements ment I was soaked, eventually we found sheltering trees for the final stretches.

Back home and feed the masses, I refused another fishing session.

Up early tomorrow as the eco son?s pal head back home on the early train.
