A short day in the office today which started with a disorganised, on my part, management meeting and an inconclusive discussion about disclosure policy. That continued on the train journey west with me sending long messages back to base on my dying BB. Then a message from a colleague about a series of meetings in London that are heavy on time and money. The growth pangs of an organisation. So by the time I got to Glasgow not only was I stressed but it was also tipping down with rain. The resolve to catch a #4 bus was replaced by a taxi to Langside.

It's our Celtic Connections weekend. 13 of us this time. Is that unlucky?

As usual we started with a meal. Haggis for the bard and a toast to our absent and much loved friend. There could be no piper this year. A lot of drink and food and good craic made the problems of the day melt away. And I don't even know what we're going to see!
