Trees
In the ongoing spirit of sparing you the boring details, I had to go to a thing, today. This thing was in Workington, which is on the west coast of Cumbria and not that readily accessible.
The simplest and fastest route is to head up the M6 for a while and then turn west but this is also the most boring route. Instead, I went across to Kendal, then up through Windermere, Ambleside and Grassmere to Keswick. This route is far from boring and, in fact, stunning.
Despite living up here for *counts on fingers* nearly twenty-four years, I'm still rubbish at knowing the names of the hills and lakes, so I'm not quite sure where I was - somewhere north of Ambleside, with a lake to my left - when I saw the trees on this hill, all in a row and leaning east.
