Through the gate
The wind has got up and the skies have darkened. It was a soup making day except the soup had already been made. I caught up with a programme about young
teachers which brought back a combination of warm memories and feelings of panic and dread as I followed these bright eyed young people grappling against the odds and with insufficient preparation, the challenges of teaching in city schools. That once was me. I take my hat off to them and hope they do not lose their idealism. In the afternoon I accompanied Mrs TT on her way up to her French lesson and went in search of a blip. I forgot my spare battery but I had already taken this shot before the power ran out.
