Something new to read

Since we were moving to the other side of the world it kind of forced us to travel light.

I was able to only bring one book with me. So that age old question ... If you were stranded on a desert island what one book would you take?

Turns out my answer is Charles Bukowski - Factotum. I've read it more times than I can remember and certainly more times than I've read any other book. It was pretty much my immediate choice as all my books started to get pulled out my suitcase, after we test weighed the cases before we left.

But I managed to pick this up in the bargain bin at a book store over the weekend. Made a small start to it today. Not sure what it will be like yet? I was aware of its existence before but as for plot or cultural significance I have no idea.

Normally my process for choosing a book is much more laboured. I put a great deal of thought into what I'm going to read, why I want read it and what I want to get out of it.

I'll see how this new approach of pulling something out of the bargain bin goes.

Also if you've read the book, let me know what you thought.
