The mason

Met this mason over dinner. It was rather insightful. It seems being a mason here and back home is a little different.

He told me anyone can be a mason ...

1.You have to believe in god.
2. You have to ask to be a mason.

These two points raised further discussion.

I tried to impress him by telling him my Great Grandfather was the Grandmaster of the Burns Mother Lodge.

They obviously don't teach them their history... This led to a Burns overview closing with Auld Lang Syne.

All in all a good night and a good guy.
