Preening

Ducks sped along the river
In full, furious flow
As one inhabited the bank
To prink and preen
And rest awhile
Before taking to the water.

A frustrating day - hire car had to be swapped because of a fault and newish laptop sent away for repairs - and then rushed home to work. Managed to fit in five minutes by the river and enjoyed watching the duck before the rain began ... again.
