Dadar, Mumbai.

So, as I've promised to add words-after long bursts of silence-then I should start here:-)

Back in India for the first time in a decade. Ran through Mumbai as quickly as possible and now, after a bit of a journey have arrived in Hampi. All a bit different from the way that I remember it though. Sounds like police and government have been a little heavy handed in a pro tourist way, will hopefully add to that thought over the next few days...

As it stands, managed to find a toothbrush and an overpriced room...arrived late figuring that I'm knackered anyway and so a chance to catch up on blips and then some sleep was a better option than stopping overnight in hospet... and, if I smell a bit odd....

First thoughts are that this place continues to contradict and overwhelm:) in z way that's why starting here. It's a kind of traveller's haven, a place to spend a few days getting used to things before heading south. And did I mention that it's one of the most astounding landscapes I've ever been lucky enough to stumble through? But that's for future blips...for now, sleep:-)
