Dubai bye bye

Ollie is leaving Manchester to live & work in Dubai on Friday, so this evening was his bon voyage drinks out.
We caught the train & ate, with high expectations at a place called Dogs n' Dough - cool cat speak for hot dogs & pizzas.
The cocktails were moreish but the food wasn't particularly. Neither if us really enjoyed our choices & it seemed unfortunately it was more style over substance.
Nonetheless we headed to Kitty Lounge for the big farewell. It was fun & the music didn't really disappoint (except for a few dubious choices..)
Shirley Ellis was in there & I instantly thought of how Caroline would have gone as crazy as Alex & I - knowing all the words.

Goodbyes we're had about 2am & I felt strangely sentimental. I never was a close friend but a social acquaintance, but I do hope Ollie has a good time in his new job, life & country.
I'm almost jealous.
