Treats

Recently made these treats for a dear friend. That batch went really quickly as it was popular with my flatemate and his girlfriend too and I had requests from work colleagues and friends from NZ alike.
This ladies and gents is called a lolly cake. It's a kiwi invention (we like to claim this) and generations have grown up eating this in their childhoods..however there maybe something similar in Australia. Traditionally this is made with particular ingredients like (it has to be griffins malted biscuits and I have to use Eskimo candies - the texture which is similar to banana foams). Simple to make however the problem is none of this ingredients are sold in UK and sometimes people crave this. I tried making these with banana foams, foam shrimps and Percy pigs. Worked a treat so had to make second batch (doubled the ingredients). Fair to say young and old kids love-em!!!
