Waspitality

Not much time to take photos today. Happened to see this giant wasps nest (or is it a hornets nest? and what is the difference?) while visiting a friend's home today. Wish I had something there for scale -- it was about 18-20 inches in length (45-50 cm). Autumn foliage is fading, but there's still some color here and there.
