Highs and lows

It's been a strange weekend - weather wise yet more rain today until about 4 this afternoon when hubby shouted 'blue bit' - I dashed to the window and wanted to capture it - seems such a rarity at the moment.

Sadness this weekend for different reasons - the loss of young life - wee Mikaeel - just 3 years old - his life hardly started and cruelly snatched away, thoughts with his family and everyone who helped in the search - also a close friend who lived in the area and is feeling his loss. Sadness at the capture of 250 bottle nose dolphins held in a cove in Taiji, Japan - waiting to be selected for a life in captivity or slaughtered then sold as meat - a young albino dolphin snatched from his mother to be placed in a local museum then the mother killed as she was of no use. And closer to home, the call for control (cull) of white tailed eagles - an article published so full of inaccuracies I wondered if it was 1st April - just leaves me speechless and sad for our world at the moment.
