Rose in January

Such a little rosebud, braving it out through the winter! It is the only one in our garden. Snowdrops are coming out, other bulbs are up, plenty of primroses, and one or two heathers are showing a tinge of colour.

Quite a lazy Sunday, a short walk, cooked lunch for us and for our next door neighbour - nothing more to eat today! - and catching up with the papers and a few interesting bits and pieces.
It has been sunny! with blue skies! birds singing!
