Muddy!!!!

Went for a walk this afternoon. We went up to Ashdown House, which is only 6 miles away, just the other side of The Ridgeway. It is a National Trust property which only opens infrequently, but the grounds are free to walk around all year round. Through the gardens is Alfred's castle, an Iron age hill fort. In order to get to Alfred's castle we had to cross a quagmire!

This is a photo of part of the quagmire, but with an elongated shadow of me in it - wish I looked that thin in real life! By the time we got back to the car my trainers were totally muddy - as were my jeans!
