Lost and Found

Things are always turning up in our house. This thing appeared a plant pot a while back. I think my partner finds things when he walks the dog, and brings them home! Reminds me abit of Bagpuss. So should I clean them up, mend them, sing a song about them, make a story up about them, and then place them in the front window to see if someone claims them?
