It was great waking up in my own wonderful bed this morning. Outside another gorgeous Reno - Day with the most clear light blue sky you can imagine and a sun that was warming up the air to 10 degrees Celsius after a frosty night.

So I started the day with a visit to the gym where I swim. Afterwards I saw this young man doing his weight lifting and when he stopped, I asked him whether he could do it again, just so I could take a picture of him. He kindly obliged but asked for a couple of minutes break, which I could very well understand. Then all of a sudden he sat down and did it again and I had to be really fast. I had promised him that his face wouldn't be recognizable and focused on his muscles. He was pleased with the result.
I liked the picture because it is so "mighty" , if I may say so, powerful. All this in front of a mirror. A second shot, where he has the weights higher in the air is here. I decided against that because it shows the metal bar of the mirror and more of my legs in the picture.

By the way, both on my trip , here at home and amongst the Blippers I noticed the importance that the weather has for nearly everybody. It is an overwhelming subject of talks. Here I am happy about dry , sunny and cool winter weather. But the dryness will have a huge negative impact for Nevadan farmers and many will have to give up their farming business on the rather short run. (this is the third dry winter in a row, summer is dry anyway. ) Then the City of Reno might buy their water rights to help to provide water for the townspeople.
In California , east of Los Angeles, new fires started.
In Yucatan, where December and January are supposed to be warm and sunny and dry, there were way to many very cool and rainy days, so unusual there too. And the heat in Australia is obviously again endangering many areas and people, for the second time in 3 months. I am often scared about what we have done to this planet.
