After a 2 a.m. finish this morning, I still had to get on with the rest of the day, although avoided returning home till mid-morning. Instead I took a walk from the cottage along Princes Street and homewards. The morning was warm and it was hard not to stop to take photographs every few yards.

I particularly liked this image as it wouldn't be possible without my dear bridge camera which allows me to zoom from quite a distance, and because the strong low sunlight was highlighting the finer points of the statue.

A fine day indeed.
