The Daughter and I had a wonderful day today! It was Wednesday and so we shopped together, as usual, and then headed off for Whitehaven.

I had arranged a meeting with two old friends, C. who I had known over forty years ago but had lost touch with and S.M. who I had regularly contacted for thirty years, but they had only met each other fairly recently and I thought it would be nice for us to get together. We met in the Howgate Hotel and I treated them to lunch. The four of us had a great time.

On the way back we detoured into Whitehaven, just to drive past our old home. Then we stopped very briefly, at Bassenthwaite, just for the daughter to get a shot for the day.
