A Welcome IntruderI

A neighbour, just a couple of doors away, spends months in France at her son's home and this year she has had a beautiful display of what I thought of as a rather unusual pale lilac poppies in her garden.

I thought it was a pity she was missing it all but, surprise, surprise, a seed must have blown onto the gravel beside the path in my garden and I became the proud owner of one bloom. I was happy to display it for her when she returned home.

Here's hoping it seeds - prolifically!
