Yorkshire Tyke

After today's 'Digital Photography as a Fine Art' session and a large cup of tea I joined a writers' workshop run by Ian McMillan. Like me, he's Yorkshire born and bred which makes us a pair of Yorkshire Tykes.

The light in the room was as dim as a coal house and it wasn't appropriate to use flash. Ian was also very animated so an in focus shot proved elusive!

After a break, he read from his latest book. He's warm, engaging, entertaining and infectiously funny and his poems are that wonderful mix of comedic yet poignant. A very enjoyable evening. Laughter is a great medicine.
