saturday night - footy and a curry

The old chap is a happy bunny today, totally chilled and watching Saints coast to victory live on Tata Sky TV in coastal India. The wonders of technology. When the game is finished we are off out for supper and I have decided I will have a G&T and if there is a nice Indian wine on the menu we might indulge in that too. Dry January, such as its been with a 21st to celebrate, is finished for me, it is our holiday after all! I'll revert to the more traditional abstinence during Lent, the six weeks up to Easter! The restaurant we are going to tonight has a good tandoori oven, so no guesses what I'm going to have apart from the booze!

We met John and Lynda this morning, we rent our bungalow through them, they own several houses locally and live out here for eight months of the year. They were younger than we both imagined them to be, he used to be a teacher and she was in finance commuting from 7am-7pm so they decided to jump ship, get out of the rat race in Britain and join the one over here! Apparently the pool filter system/pump guy has been enticed from northern Goa to come and have a look at the problem here, he is coming on Monday so fingers crossed.

Its half time now and I need to get ready to go out. Am I going to jinx the final score by putting this blip up saying they are coasting? Its a risk I'm going to have to take!
