He's On His Way ...
Only a few hours to go now ... No matter how young or old you are, there is always a buzz about Christmas Eve, well there is for me anyway! ;o)
This will be Christmas week like no other for me. I have worked in industry all my life (other than one dabbalance at John Menzies after I finished School), so I have never worked Christmas week. This year, as I am in industry I working all week other than tomorrow and Sunday.
The last shift was fine and good fun. We had one bonkers customer who wanted onion bhajis just before we closed and was kicking off as we were out of stock. Nowt as queer as folk I suppose.
I had my one and only stab at buying waste (the food that is on its date that day). I filled my metaphorical boots. I bought what must have been over £50 worth of food for just a couple of quid! Well chuffed. Mind you it is a real eye opener on the amount of stuff food outlets throw out just so you can have a wide choice. I filled a shopping trolley with pork pies all to be thrown out.
We went straight to the Dynevor Arms when we finished to hook up with Rachel and Matt from The Reasoning. Mum and dad joined us, and we had one of the best evenings out of the year. It was just a great laugh! It put us in the right mood for the festivities tomorrow!
