The Dockers Club

Closed down and abandoned. Thirty years ago all the major industries in Grangemouth had a social club associated with them. Grangemouth had six, all shut down now. Changes in the industry (though the docks are still thriving, though not manned to the same extent) have taken their toll, but probably not as much in the changes in tastes and expectations of the members. I was a member of one such club, it was rooted in the past and failed to move on when we did. Not sure what it's like in other communities but these workers clubs are a relic of the past up here now.
