Lock 4

Lock four of the regenerated Forth And Clyde canal. I really need to spend a wee bit more time wandering about the canal, I'm sure there is a wee shot goldmine down there.


When I was a kid I went to school right next door to the canal (or The Nal as it was known). This was really a run down part of the post seventies industrial landscape of urban decay.... or in other words a bit manky. 20 years and loads of millions later the canal is a pretty leisure area. Didn't see that coming. As a wee aside every year there was a call over the school intercom about running on the ice on the canal, which off course we all did. I doubt that call has been made for years now.
