Walking on Water

These Canada Geese found this half-frozen pond to their liking with half in the water and half slipping around on the very thin ice. Some weigh up to 10lbs. (6.4k) so those wide webbed feet help distribute the weight. This flock took to the air after my puppy set up a bark...a shot I missed because I was more concerned about her tangling with a goose on the ice.
