Things to do in January

I started work at my previous workplace in January and was surprised that everybody seemed to be on a diet. This diet would last until mid-February and would then be abandoned until next January when all the same conversations about diet would start all over again...it was then that I realised that this was one of the things to do in January...

Another thing to do in January is not to spend money. This year I have given myself a challenge and I'm to date keeping with it. I have also decided not to spend any money that I haven't got (that is where my challenge fits in perfectly). I had a look at a couple of money saving websites and blogs and they all say the same thing, stay positive, get hobbies that are inexpensive ... What am I complaining about, thanks to blip I am spoilt with a hobby that is actually - now that I have the equipment - relatively inexpensive.

And one of the best things to do in January in Edinburgh is of course to go and see Turner's watercolours, which I have yet to do. I may manage tomorrow or at some point this weekend, I hope.
