Sunrise over Lancaster
An earlyish journey down to Crewe today. The connection at Lancaster meant a long wait, an opportunity (and likely to be the only opportunity of the day) to get an outdoor daylight blip. I went for a walk down to the Millennium Bridge, but there were no sunrise colours to set it off, so I walked back via the Castle to get a view over the town. The sun was just rising over the tiers of terraced houses, molten sunlight spilling down the roofs.
It was a more worthwhile journey than I expected, a workshop that was well run and interesting. I did miss a walk with my canine friend, though. I managed to add another 6 miles to my growing total in the 1000 mile challenge, albeit all of it on pavement. And now my pal is snoozing and snoring next to me, it's good to be home.
