A voice from the past

This lovely bowl with its lizard on the edge was given to me when we left Western Australia many years ago .
Today one of my former pupils from Perth came to visit us, with his mother who has been a friend ever since he started school. He is now a professional singer (tenor) and works in The Hague and in Germany. It was very good to see them and to catch up with news. We have met several times over the years, as Australians are great travellers!
