I did not have the time...

I worked til 6.40 last night, I started at 8.40.

Year end means an awful lot of checking, and double checking, and counting, and providing proof for your numbers. I don't think I lifted my head all day.

I was back in again this morning at 9, face down again, at 4.pm I stopped, I decided that I had looked at the numbers all I could ... I was starting to see the same figures over, and over and over.

I sat back, and looked at the mess of my desk, and my eyes lifted to the sky outside the office. Beneath a heavy black rain cloud, the sun had dropped, heading on it's way to the sea underneath... The lower it got, the more orange the sky around it became, the redder the clouds around it became, and the massive black cloud turned purple.

As it sank lower still, the sky directly behind and above the sun, turned bright blue, and the edges of the black cloud turned scarlet.

I had moved from my desk and was hanging out the stair window... feeling the raindrops on my face, and re-charging again.

I went back to my desk after it sank into the sea - ready to attack the paper mountain with renewed vigor.
